  • What is algae and what makes this source special?
    Algae are a diverse group of aquatic plants, a source used in foods globally for decades. Tests have shown that Vitamin D3 contained in this plant is chemically identical to cholecalciferol obtained from animal origin, what makes it the perfect bioavailable source, suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Our non-GMO algae source is grown in controlled conditions, with no pesticides used.
  • Why is it so important the form of vitamin D3 we supplement?
    There are two forms of vitamin D differ depending on their food sources. Vitamin D3 is found in small amounts in animal-sourced foods and is also synthesized under the skin after sufficient sun exposure. Vitamin D2 mainly comes from plant sources. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is approximately 87% more potent than D2 form. Conventional Vitamin D3 is obtained from animal-origins(lanolin or animal skins), but we use 100% plant-source cholecalciferol of the highest quality and purity, yet chemically-identical
  • Is it possible to overdose on vitamin D?
    Vitamin D belongs to the fat-soluble vitamins (like vitamins A and E) and is stored in adipose tissue. With long-term use of excessive doses, it can lead to storage in the organism and the manifestation of toxicity. Our dosage is safe, it is far from the amount with which it is possible to overdose.
